Voters in the Santa Clara Unified School District should be wondering why the superintendent, two of the three assistant superintendents and six school principals have resigned from their positions as of June 30, 2013. The next exodus will be highly qualified teachers, involved parents and high-performing students as they realize the bleak future of SCUSD. The election of School Board members Bendis, Koltermann, Stampolis and Ryan as the Board majority has resulted in chaos. The dysfunctional Board abuses their authority and their disrespect for the professional staff is embarrassing. As schools go, so do property values and I hope the members of the SCUSD community will wake up and find out what is going on before it’s too late. If you haven’t already done so – attend a School Board meeting, listen to parents and teachers and become informed about how this Board is affecting our students and their futures.
