In the S.J. News (12/03), it was revealed that Santa Clara’s debt in the 49’er stadium deal is now more than twice promised. It is now just shy of $900 million. All kinds of promises were made if this flops. Makes me feel real good inside, because these are the same people who promised our debt would be under $300 million to begin with. Who has the right to change the facts after a vote other than the citizenry?
