I think that Mr. Bailey is a little confused by the concerns expressed about the SCPF endorsements. I understand that he stands by his endorsements. However, as I pointed out previously, there wasn’t a process or even transparency about how their candidates were chosen. Most people do not realize that board members of SCPF are just endorsing themselves or their friends for the political positions that they want to have. It is unfortunate that a group that was motivated by honesty and integrity in government have become what they were once fighting against. To be clear, I opposed the stadium and supported SCPF initially. I wish that they would take a hard look at what they have become and have the courage to return to their roots. Their current endorsements for city council and school board prove that they are not looking for the best candidates. Rather, they are trying to achieve a monopoly on power.
